Sunday School
FISH Club - Friends In Service to HimSunday School is held every Sunday morning from 9:45 to 10:30 (following the 8:30 worship service and fellowship). Children age 3 through 6th grade can join the FISH Club, an approach to Sunday School with new ideas and activities planned to excite all kids as they learn about Jesus.

Youth, from 7th through 12th grades, have their own time for fellowship and learning in the Youth Room.

The goal of our Sunday School is to provide our children with a strong Christian foundation. We try to teach children how to use their Christian faith to guide them in decision making.

Confirmation
Recognizing that each student is at a unique place in his/her personal faith-walk with Jesus, the Confirmation Program at Holy Cross Lutheran Church seeks to reach each student in a highly personalized, customized way. Our Confirmation Program is ordinarily a two year program that takes into account each student’s maturity, desire to receive Holy Communion, and level of commitment to a life of worship and service in the congregation.

Our Confirmation Program consists of in-depth Bible study, developing a personal relationship with the Risen and Ever-Living Jesus, and a discovery of one’s abilities and talents given by God for service to the Body of Christ – the Church.

Check out our Youth Group, too.

GIFT Class
We have a GIFT for you! GIFT means Growing In Faith Together. Jesus, His unconditional love and forgiveness and the new life He offers – each is a GIFT. GIFT Class meets 90 minutes a week for three consecutive weeks and is offered several times a year. The class explores the gift of Jesus, the gift of Baptism and the gift of Holy Communion. There is no obligation, but completion of this class can lead to membership at Holy Cross, if desired.

Adult Bible Studies
The Bible is the only source for knowing God's mind and His will for your life. It is the only source of divine revelation. Its words have the power to sustain you in your Christian walk. Through Bible study and prayer, we commune with our Creator and develop an essential intimate relationship with Him. Without this relationship we are lost.

Bible study is not about intellectual stimulation; it is about life transformation. "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path." (Psalm 119:105 NIV)

Holy Cross offers the following Bible study opportunities:

  • Sunday mornings at 9:45 AM downstairs in the Fellowship Hall.
  • Tuesday mornings at 10:00 AM with Pastor Ross.
  • Tuesday evenings at 7:00 PM (meets in the lower LOFT).
  • Prayer Shawl Group, 2nd and 4th Thursdays each month.
